Office Manager

Ellen Smith answered the leading of the Lord to serve Him as the Office Manager at Harvest Aviation, with responsibility for financial and computer management, donor support and developing beneficial office procedures.

Prior to joining Harvest Aviation in June 2011, she has 30 years in business experience. As Coordinator of Payroll Services at Marywood University, she had oversight of payroll, taxes and compliance regulations for 1200 employees. In the last fifteen years, she and her husband Joe have owned and run a Citrus Gift Fruit Shipping retail store, Torrey S. Crest Harvesting Company, and currently own and manage Florida Pro Builders, a construction company. Ellen has owned her own business, Florida Professional Service Associates, Inc. since 1996, and actively operates it now.

She has been active in ministry opportunities extending to over 25 years teaching Sunday School, VBS Coordinator and church secretary. As Administrator of a Christian Nursery School, she had oversight of financials recordkeeping, parent relations, hiring teachers and evaluating educational curriculum. A past president of the Methodist Conference Board of Christian Ministries, she was involved in many Christian education programs. She and her husband are currently active team members for the United Methodist Lay Witness outreach ministry. For five years they also flew for Air Lifeline, a medical assistance program for those needing transportation to medical facilities.

Harvest Aviation is a new type of ministry for her and she prays that her efforts here will encourage others in their walk with the Lord. She is happy to be with us and has a heart for missions.
